Accomodation

The Caldwell Clan holds a deep-rooted respect for nature and conservation. This
reverence is woven into the way we run our farm, the care we provide to our
animals, and the thoughtful preservation of the original structures found on the land
when we acquired it.
One of our proudest restorations is a charming farmhouse built in the early 1900s,
lovingly renovated with a focus on authenticity. Its expansive wraparound veranda
invites guests to relax and soak in the bushveld surroundings. A personal favourite
feature is the original oregon pine flooring and door frames, which lend warmth and
character to the space. The farmhouse now includes a fully equipped kitchen, a
shower room with two showers, a separate toilet and basin, two double bedrooms,
and a room fitted with four single beds—ideal for families or groups.
A nearby barn has also been transformed into a cozy, multi-purpose space that
serves as a kitchen, lounge, and sleeping area. For convenience, we’ve added an
outdoor ablution block with two showers, a toilet, and a basin.
To expand our guest accommodations, we constructed two additional chalets,
blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Central to the camp is a spacious
outdoor area featuring a bar, an expansive firepit for bonfires and braais, and
generous seating—perfect for enjoying the breathtaking African sunrises and
sunsets.
True to our commitment to heritage, we’ve preserved the use of traditional “donkeys”
to heat water. These wood-fired boilers have become a firm favourite among our
guests, many of whom delight in helping to stoke the fires themselves, despite our
staff being on hand to assist.
While the camp is securely fenced for safety, it maintains an open, immersive
connection to the bush. No matter where you find yourself, you’re treated to
uninterrupted views of the surrounding wilderness, offering a truly authentic and
enriching African experience.
